Delivering Labour Intenive Projects in Sana'a and Taiz

Nov, 2011 to Feb, 2012

This community based project managed by Qube in partnership with Together Stronger is to target 220 ultra-poor youth in the age groups 18-35 years affected by the ongoing conflict with cash for work assistance in order to meet their daily needs, minimize the risks of instability, while generating access to immediate income for those vulnerable youth in the Sana’a and Taiz governorates. The project management services are provided by Qube’s team from initiation and planning to execution and closure.

Disability Assessment Project in Taiz
 Dec, 2011 to Feb,2012

The purpose of this research project is to develop a useful instrument to assess and measure disability and functioning experienced by an individual across 10 local communities targeted in Taiz governorate. The project also aims at building the skills of the staff in administrating the instrument in both population and clinical settings in the Centre for Hearing and Sight Rehabilitation.

Comprehensive Governorate Health Planning, RGP

The goal of this consultancy project is to build the capacity for health planning, budgeting, and monitoring at the governorate level through setting up a comprehensive health planning methodology and train a group of trainers in 8 governorates on Comprehensive Health Planning. The project is sponsored by Responsive Governance Program and the client is Ministry of Publlic Health.

Implementing Hosted Project Collaboration Platform for SMEPS

The mission of this project is to “deliver a reliable and functional collaboration system for managing key processes and relevant documents across all projects undertaken countrywide, and allowing access to information   anytimer, anywhere worldwide”.

Building Project Management Portal Site, Youth Economic Development Center

The purpose of this project is to develop/configure an online project management software as a tool for better controlling and monitoring the execution progress of the different projects undertaken within YEDC. The software also allows better tracking and reporting on all running projects and easy access to all projects documents and information anytime, anywhere by all relevant stakeholders.

Managing Projects using MS Project

Dec, 2011

The goal of this training is to “train the key staff of SMEPS on the application of Project Scheduling & Workflow Software for facilitating project planning and improving project processes undertaken by project teams in Sana'a, Aden, Sayoun, Lahj, and Abyan”. The course is led by Mr. Abdulfattah Al-Kibsi and takes place in Aden for six days targeting 24 project officers within SMEPS.

Training of Trainers on CGHP - July 2011
A training of trainers course on Comprehensive Governorate Health Planning was conducted under the organization of the planning sector in Ministry of Public Health and Population with the coordination of RGP. The objective was to prepare trainers from the Governorates in planning health strategies so that they can be able to participate in training new participants from their respective governorates.

Organizational Strategy Development Workshop - December 2010

A six day workshop in strategy development was undertaken by Youth Economic Development Centre and Girls World Computer Centre . The workshops were led by Qube's team in order to craft a 5 year strategic plan 2011 - 2015 for progrmas and projects run by both centres.
